Key Features:

Direct Interaction With Drawing Objects.
In Chartist, there is no scripting or programming involved in creating a diagram. You interact directly with the drawing objects. To place a shape on the drawing, you click on the desired shape from the shapes palette, then position the shape where you want it. To move the shape, you just click on it and drag it. To stretch or shrink a shape, you select it, then graph of the sizing handles, and click and drag until you get the desired size.
Benefit: Quickly get the arrangement, styling and sizing of the shapes that you need.
Automatic Routing of Connections between Objects.
Shapes can be connected with lines to indicate relationships or flows. In Chartist, you designate the beginning and ending points of a line, and Chartist will maintain that connection as you move the connected shapes around, and change the properties of the connection.
Benefit: Save a lot of time, since you do not need to reposition the connecting lines each time you move or change a shape.
Full Featured Text Editing.
The text in symbols can be in and typefaces supported by your system. There is a full featured text editor built into Chartist, that provides a very standard user interface for editing text.

II. How to Create Diagram and Flowchart :

Novagraph Chartist-Step1: Novagraph Chartist - A comprehensive flowcharting and diagramming package for Windows 2000, Windows XP. The first thing you need to do is download and install the software onto your computer.

Novagraph Chartist-Step2: To add a symbol to the chart, click on the button in the Tool Bar, select the Symbol Add... command from the menu, or press the Ins key.

Novagraph Chartist-Step3: You may change the shape of one or more symbols at any time. Select the symbols to change and click on the Tool Bar button, or choose the Symbol Properties... command (F4). You will see the Select Symbol Shape dialog box.

Novagraph Chartist-Step4: Double-click the mouse on the desired symbol (if there is no picture object in the symbol), or with only the desired symbol selected, choose Symbol Text Edit.

Novagraph Chartist-Step5: The Standard Symbol Size of is normally set at 1.250" wide by 0.750" high. This size is used in the Set Default Symbol Size dialog when you click on the 50% Standard or Standard buttons. To modify these settings, use the Options Misc Settings command.

Novagraph Chartist-Step6: To save a chart, select the File Save... command. If the current chart does not yet have a file name, the Save As dialog box will be displayed. See the Save Chart As procedure below.
