II. How to Join or Merge Multiple AVI, Divx, XviD, MPEG I/II, VOB, DAT, ASF, WMV :

Step1: First things first, you need to download and install Allok Video Joiner. Once it's installed, run the program and your screen will look like the one shown below.

Step2: Next you have to select the files you want to join together, click the "Add Files" button and browse through your files till you find the ones you want.

Step3: Before you do anything else we'll want check the files we've selected. To make sure you've selected the right files you can preview the files, just click on the file you want to preview and then click the play button. If any files are being displayed that you don't want to join together with you can remove them by pressing the "Remove" button.

Step4: You may have noticed while you previewed the files that they aren't in the right order. You can rearrange the files the "up" and "down" arrows.

Step5: Now we come to the conversion settings, the highlighted box shows the default settings for the joined file but you can easily change them to suit the file you want to create. If any of the settings are meaningless to you leave them as they are for now. You may wish to change the format type for example.

Step6: The last thing we have to do before we join the files is to set the folder we want our recording to appear in, in the box we've highlighted click the "Change..." button and in the new window that opens up select the folder you want.

Step7: All that's left for us to do is click the "Join" button, the software will do the rest of it for us and all we have to do now is sit there and feel smug with ourselves until the file is finished. Of course if you're joining a lot of large files together you might want to do something else instead.

Step8: Congratulations! The join is now done. Please click the "Open" button to browse output directory, you can see the media files that you want to get.
