II. How to Rip DVD to AVI, MP3, MPG, VOB, ASF, WMV :

Step1: Run DVD Ripper and load your DVD into the program. It can be done easily by "DVD" button on the main interface or the corresponding option in the "File" menu. At this time, your DVD disc should have been put into the drive.

Step2: Or you can load your DVD by "Add IFO Files" in the "File" menu. IFO file is the information file of the DVD. You need browse your DVD disc to see the files. They are in the "Video_TS" folder of the DVD. But generally we do not recommend this way because some DVDs would not be able to be loaded properly by reading IFO files.

Step3: After your DVD is loaded into the program, you will read the titles/chapters of your DVD in the central list of the program. There are always certain titles on a standard DVD, while each title consists of certain chapters. You can control whether chapters can be seen in the list or not by pressing the button between "Title" and the red one.

Step4: Generally, the main episodes of the movie would be made in one title. As the program shows for the DVD, Title_01 has 36 chapters and its duration is 02:18:09. It is the longest title of the DVD. So the main episodes of the movie are in this title.

Step5: On the top of the list, there are settings for "Audio", "Subtitles", "Angle", and so on. All the audio tracks and subtitles that your DVD has will be shown in the corresponding box. Please select what you want for the final output files from the lists. You do not always need change "Angle" options. Angle 1 will work well for most of DVDs.

Step6: And then, please select the output formats and other necessary things at the bottom of the list. What you select in the "Profile", what output format you will get after conversion. If you want to keep what you ripped as one single file, the default setting for "Split" will be OK. Or you can select other "Split" options.

Step7: On the right panel of the main interface, there are some advanced setting options, such as "Video/Audio Codec", "Video Size" and "Video/Audio Bit Rate". Generally, the default values we offered haven been OK, so you need not always modify them.

Step8: After you set everything OK, please start ripping by running "Rip Selected" in the "File" menu. It will get what you highlighted in the program ripped only. If you just simply click the red button on the interface, all the loaded items, chapters or titles in the list, will be ripped.
