An open source internet browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation. At present it is believed to be used by 12% of internet users as their primary internet browser. Among it's many features are tabbed browsing (the ability to look at several internet sites at once while not cluttering the taskbar), the search bar (meaning internet searches can be done from any page without the need to go to the search engines website) and the ability to customise the program with over a thousand different add-ons.
At present firefox is in version 2.0 but version 3.0 is expected to be released in May 2007
