the 2nd console ever produced by Microsoft has been on the market since late 2005 and at present is the most popular of the next generation consoles. The console is much smaller and more stylish than it's predecessor (2 of the main complaints people had of the original console) and also allows users to customise the front of the console with changeable front plates.

Style alone doesn't make a good console and luckily the Xbox 360 has considerable processing power under it's hood. Microsoft were also keen to make sure that all games developed for their new console have Xbox live support, with HDTV and 5.1 audio optional for users with more sophisticated home entertainment systems.

Although the PS3 and Wii have now been released the console continues to outsell them both (except in Japan) and in 2007 we can expect an interesting array of new games especially with the highly anticipated release of Halo 3.
