Zune

Microsoft's first portable media player, designed to compete head on with the iPod the Zune features all the features of the iPod but goes a few extra miles too. Wi-Fi and FM radio are available on the Zune. The Wi-Fi feature allowing for limited file sharing; these files can only be played 3 time or within 3 days (whichever comes first) and cannot be resent onto another Zune player, this is all to prevent piracy and is a rather clever way of doing it. The zune can also connect to the Xbox 360 allowing for content to be transferred back and forth. The screen is also larger than the current iPod's but this has meant that battery life is slightly reduced.
Although the Zune sounds good on paper it's initial sales we're slow and since the initial marketing campaign receded from view the sales have gone down and down. It's hard to compete against the iPod, as countless other contenders would confess and at present the Zune will have a hard time just competing against them.
