Pingotec Text Art is a complete drawing program for making pictures out of text. Using the mouse or a tablet, you choose a font to use and then paint artwork as text flows onto the screen. The text is rotated depending on the mouse or tablet direction and sized according to the speed with which you move.

Pingotec Text Art - Text can be colored using a default color or using the colors from a background image. Once a work of art is created, the text can be styled using any number of patterns, or by copying the matching parts of a background image. The drawing board can be saved and worked on later. It can also be saved in any of several graphic file formats, and can be exported as a transparent PNG file, or an EMF file. The EMF file can be resized in a program like Adobe Illustrator to any size without loss of quality. Any number of fonts can be used to draw text pictures, and a special option uses the text in the clipboard, with its font, to quickly draw additional text. The text items can be moved or deleted as needed. There is an undo button available. Once a work of text art is created, it can be styled by cutting the matching areas of the background image resulting in a much more accurate text mosaic. A comprehensive help file and Flash tutorial files are provided to show how the various options are used to size text, color it, style it and adjust kerning and mouse speed.

Pingotec Text Art - Other features include the Trace feature, which will automatically trace shapes from a background image and fill them with text. A pruning feature lets you accurately trace parts of shapes for more interesting effects. Drawing a text mosaic is very quick and results in a unique text expression of a graphic. A floating toolbox lets you delete, color, move and style individual text items.  The drawing board can be resized, filled with an optional background color and printed at the chosen size and resolution. A saved drawing board can be reloaded anytime and more text art can be added to it.
